SECAM was created on July 3, 2005 by Me Felicitee Kiese Kingolo in order to help resolve the many issues related to children living in difficult circumstances in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. SECAM is registered with the DRC government as a local non-governmental organization (NGO), registration #840/MIN.GAFAE/0C00RDE/033/2010.

SECAM’s main objective is to contribute to the development of the Congolese child in order to allow him to play a solid and positive role, beneficial to the whole community. Its specific objectives are:

– Accommodation and supervision of children

– Nutritional and medical care for children housed in the orphanage

– School support for children living in difficult circumstances

– Reintegration of found and/or abandoned children into a family environment
